End User Agreement

1. What Aux Does

Aux lets you input a query, which is processed by a large language model (LLM) to generate a list of songs (a "setlist"). You can then use this setlist to find and play music on Spotify. We're here to help you discover music, not to store playlists or manage your Spotify account.

2. What We Collect

When you use Aux, we collect the following information:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • The queries you send to the LLM and the setlists you receive in response

We use this data to provide the service, improve Aux, and communicate with you if needed. We don't sell your data to third parties, but we may share it with service providers (like the LLM host or email services) to make Aux work. For more details, see our Privacy Policy.

3. Your Responsibilities

Accuracy: Provide accurate info when signing up. Don't impersonate anyone.

Usage: Use Aux for personal, non-commercial purposes only. Don't try to reverse-engineer, hack, or misuse the app.

Content: Your queries are your own. Don't submit anything illegal, offensive, or that violates someone else's rights.

4. Our Rights

  • We can update, modify, or discontinue Aux at any time without notice.
  • We can suspend or terminate your access if we think you're violating this Agreement or harming the app or its users.
  • The setlists generated by the LLM are based on its output. We don't guarantee they'll always be accurate, available on Spotify, or to your taste.

5. Intellectual Property

Aux (including its design, code, and concept) is owned by us. You get a limited, non-exclusive license to use it as intended.

The LLM's output (setlists) is generated for you, but we don't claim ownership of it. Spotify's song data and rights remain with Spotify and the respective artists/labels.

6. Limitation of Liability

Aux is provided "as is." We don't promise it'll be perfect, uninterrupted, or error-free. We're not responsible for:

  • Issues with Spotify (e.g., songs not being available).
  • Any losses or damages from using Aux (like if a setlist doesn't vibe with your mood).
  • Third-party actions (e.g., the LLM going offline).

To the fullest extent allowed by law, our liability is limited to what you paid us (which, if it's free, is nothing).

7. Termination

You can stop using Aux anytime. We can terminate your access if you break this Agreement or for any other reason we see fit.

8. Changes to This Agreement

We might update this Agreement as Aux evolves. We'll notify you (probably via email or in-app) if we do. Keep using Aux after that, and you're agreeing to the new terms.

9. Governing Law

This Agreement follows the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be handled in courts located in New York City, New York.
